Regent Bridge and the Opening Up of Calton Hill is Eric's latest article in Scottish Local History Forum Issue 81 - August 2011.

It describes how on 18 August 1819, "with great pomp and circumstance, Prince Leopold of Saxe Coburg formally opened the newly completed Regent Bridge that connected the east end of Princes Street with Calton Hill."
